82 Some day you will venture on something more shameful than this dress; no one reaches the depths of turpitude all at once. It needed, in truth, a mighty general to slay Galba, and keep his own skin sleek; it needed a citizen of highest courage to ape the splendours of the Palace on the field of Bebriacum,[19] and plaster his face with dough! Never did the quiver-bearing Samiramis[20] the like in her Assyrian realm, nor the despairing Cleopatra on board her ship at Actium. No decency of language is there here: no regard for the manners of the table. You will hear all the foul talk and squeaking tones of Cybele; a grey-haired frenzied old man presides over the rites; he is a rare and notable master of mighty gluttony, and should be hired to teach it. But why wait any longer when it were time in Phrygian fashion to lop off the superfluous flesh? |

Greco-Roman usage of malakoi and the parallel Latin word molles (soft men). The Greek word malakoi and the Latin word molles could be used broadly to refer to effeminate or unmanly men. But in specific contexts it could be used in ways similar to the more specific terms cinaedi (lit., “butt-shakers”) and pathici (“those who undergo [penetration]”) to denote effeminate adult males who are biologically and/or psychologically disposed to desire penetration by men.

I guess if you’re God, and you need to use the priests of the most extreme word available, I’d say the “pathici” of the “Bapt…” is it. Pretty cool, eh?
I’m not saying to run out and do it, I’m just saying there couldn’t be a better find to fight today’s corrupt church. You all let me know if it’s even possible to find anything better than the support of the Baptism. Today’s church condemns the gay community more in sexual controversy than any other. So, the whole thing is very laughable against today’s church. God is very cool.

out.)
This just shows that even in the first century anyone who took the name “Bapt…” (like John the Baptist) had to be conveying the promiscuous attributes of Cotytto. But again, like Eros, “Cotytto” was intentionally left out of the Bible to circumvent medieval corruption. Also, when Rome decided to follow Christianity, it might not have lasted very long if the obvious correlation was still intact. Otherwise, it would have been necessary (at least in the first century) to cite Cotytto, just to state the obvious importance that the “suggestive” Christian baptism had nothing to do with her. But, again, that’d be like the Pope today wearing the Playboy bunny logo, so to somehow express his opposite support of pornography. I don’t think that’s the way it works.
Jesus even willfully walked to the river and John baptized Jesus, stating “it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” –Matthew 3:15. Then the dove (verse 16) was next, which was in that day the symbol of Aphrodite, the goddess of sexual love, moderating / softening (making more gentle) the wildness of Cotytto, Dionysus, etc.: The extremeness is needed to sell the people today, then the calmness of open “love” is the final adjustment. Then “suddenly a voice came from Heaven, saying, “This is My beloved [agape] Son, in whom I am well pleased.” –Matthew 3:17. This would have been the time to state the opposite of the promiscuous sex of Cotytto, but instead, “whatever” it represented, it just got softened. Plus, in addition to the peace attained in a future world full of free love, personally turning from sin (real / victimizing sin) by “repenting” is also very important, as told by John the Baptist. If you can confess your sorrow about sinning, then you’re less likely to do it again. But later, Jesus speaks of assured fair Afterlife punishment if you do sin (Matthew 5:25-26), where restitution / reconciliation to the actual victim is truthful proof of your remorse. And, I know for a fact how easy it is for people to actually believe their own lies.
You see, Jesus couldn’t just say “I want promiscuous sex,” because the church (the name “Jesus Christ”) wouldn’t have survived to its point today. There are way too many secular rulers who would have stopped it between now and then, if the Scriptures had been more direct. There was 300 years of early government persecution against the Christians, claiming they knew what was really going on, which eventually led to the ending of the orgiastic agape love-feast, and to any kind of sex outside of marriage, as it stands today. You see, God apparently knew what would work and what would not work. And, someday we’re going to learn that God can’t “just stop” Hitler from rolling his tanks across Poland; but, He can give the correct inspiration to one who is sacrificially open-minded enough to receive it.
